MpRenameSymmetry

This program renames a quantum number, which is needed to convert between different representations, eg between Sz and N.

Matrix Product Toolkit version HEAD-0.7.4.0 (subversion tree rev 802)
Compiled on Dec 10 2007 at 11:50:26
usage: mp-rename-symmetry <old> <new> <psi>

The old name must be one of the quantum number names in the symmetry list. The old quantum number will be renamed to new.

Examples

Suppose a spin-1/2 chain psi has a symmetry list of Sz:U(1). To convert to a spinless fermion representation, one of the steps will be to rename Sz to N. To achieve this, use

mp-rename-symmetry Sz N psi

which results in a new symmetry list of N:U(1) with the values of the quantum numbers unchanged.
